She's never been to Illinois before and any new city intrigued her that she just has to wander throughout most of the place even if she knew that eventually she would get lost and would have to call one of her friends to come and pick her up. The day, however, was still beginning and therefore she found it unnecessary to care about whether she was lost or not. The shops stood there with quite a number of people under the afternoon sun, whilst the streets seemed rather busy as it grabbed Rita's attention, dragging her towards the numerous shops placed side by side in an alluring way. Rita's passion didn't exactly reside in shopping and buying things that she hardly needed, though when it came to entering a new city and with it possessing numerous stuff that she could purchase with extreme genuine, she simply couldn't say no. Besides, Rita, with everything about her band and the tour, replaced her whole self with an excitement that was mostly good rather than bad. Everything was falling in place for the young Crocker girl, and she simply liked it in such a way. For one, she managed to escape her parent's constant nagging.
Other than that she also was on a tour that involved her serious passion. Whoever figured out that someone with this amount of intelligence would choose joining a band rather than continuing with her studies, in which she did achieve an excellent amount of grades within. Honestly, Rita hardly cares about that matter and wants to live her youth as much as she possibly can, for she can't imagine a stressful life where the most important issue within the minds of the people who lead such a lifestyle could send Rita's head into a spin from the extreme amount of confusion that might make in contact with it. Either way, she knew that the band life was far more interesting since she would actually get to meet the new people that she wasn't acquainted with ever in her life, therefore recognizing the different faces as new friends or enemies. If it wasn't for the support of her wonderful band members, she would probably still remain locked away somewhere in a world where formality rules and you wouldn't be able to do anything without it being noted as wrong. As she moved from one shop to the other, Rita was delighted at the many people that she greeted and got acquainted with in the past hour alone, being the social butterfly that she likes to be. Of course that seemed rather weird for any person, though anything could be achieved with a smile on her lips and a friendly, welcoming voice.
The outfit she was wearing was rather simple towards her, some blue skinny jeans with an adorable top that had the picture of a smiling cupcake upon it. Most of her outfits reflected the same smile that she possesses upon her lips as if it was a natural thing that more human should try. She had one bag in her hand which had another new outfit she had just purchased but the day was only beginning, therefore she might return home with much more bags than just this simple one. Her other hand had a vanilla ice-cream, making her look friendlier than most people her age would. "Ice cream is gonna save the day. Ice cream is gonna save the day." She started singing to herself whilst she sat on a bench nearby an outfit shop, mirroring the random self she always possessed. As she watched the many people pass by her with a smile, she couldn't help but wonder what the rest of the people on the tour were up to, and whether she was the only one that was wandering the shops at this time. As she finished her ice cream, she continued her short trip towards another shop, a popular music store. Her eyes wandered the place and noticed that it was somewhat crowded with different people and seemed more lively than most of the shops around here, which was something rather welcoming. She managed to escape to one of her most favorite sections and found that, thankfully, not many people lingered around here.

THEY SHINE DOWN TO SHOW US---* you know when the sun forgets to shine Connor rushed through the opening doors of the mall and walked at a fast past, he was thirty minutes late and he just knew they had left already, he was supposed to meet one of his band members for a lunch to talk 'business' over but of course he had overslept and missed it, and of course... they were probably pissed at him. story of connor's life. he was late AND most likely had someone pissed at him, okay well.. maybe it wasn't the story of his life but he was seeming to be late for everything lately and he couldn't help the nager that shot up in his mind.. at himself of course. he had to take that last fifteen minutes of sleep that made him late. and he had to get dressed slowly and had to drive slowly, everything was his fault.. but then again.. who else was there to blame? He slowed his pace as he rounded the corner to the food court and noted that his band mate had already left. Connor winced as he grabbed his cell phone from out of his back pocket of his skinny jeans and sent a quick message to that person hey man, sorry about lunch i over slept and missed you... he hit the send button and was almost scared to receive an inbox.. afraid that his band mate would get even angrier that he had enough gumption to text him back... anyway.. regarldess he had missed him by a few minutes and whatnot.. and he was here at the mall... why not make himself useful?
Connor sighed ot himself as he slowed his pace even more and exited the food court decided to explore the mall a bit and find some things he liked maybe he could get himself some more clothes or something.. you never knew.. it was the mall. for some reason after calming down a bit he felt better, and was in quite the chipper mood, he even started humming one of their newly acquired songs to himself, of course no one would know what he was singing, but it was just stuck in his mind and he felt like humming it. he browsed a few stores ending up buying ... wait for it.. of course.. more skinny jeans and a few T-shirts along the way.. finally though he came to the last 'neighborhood' of the mall and spotted the music store, Connor's eyes brightened up. He had been meaning to go ever since his favorite music group (besides his own band and a few on the tour) had released their newest album, and now it was the best time as any other to go. he smiled contentedly, things always had a way of working out for him....oh boy, you just have no idea....
He walked by slowly as he passed a cute little blonde girl with bright clothes and even had a smiling cupcake on it, he smiled at her.. and to himself. if only he could meet more people like that... well not necessarily meet but find..? i guess so, let's go with that. Connor only wished to see people smiling like that randomly for no reason, the world was such a happy place sometimes, why bring everyone else's mood down with your own sour mood. why not spread the happiness as the girl was so obviously doing not only by her presence but her seemingly good mood. Connor considered himself one of these people, he was always nice to people he met and he was mostly always in a good mood unless you had done something to upset him, which is rather hard to do. he loved to cheer people up and make them happy no matter what the cost.... it was why he had so many friends.. and to be honest he wouldn't have it any other way. but besides dwelling on seeing some random girl in a mall he crossed his thoughts over into the music world and began browsing the CD's picking out his favorites but not grabbing them.
Connor had been doing this a while until he came back to the place he most loved, only no one seemed to be there, it was better though... he thought to himself, that the good stuff was saved for him.. and a few other people who seemed to like it as he did. well, so be it. he picked out two CD's and was about to leave when the girl that he noticed outside came near, he smiled to himself, what harm would it do to converse with her? she seemed like a nice girl. and she could possibly be on tour... although it wasn't likely.. it could be. he placed his two CD's in his other hand and began browsing for more catching her gaze at the same one he held in his hand, good group isn't it? he said smiling and nodded his 'hello' to her, too bad no one else seems to think so... he said in light conversation chuckling to himself.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - • c h a n g e t h e c o l o r s o f t h e s k y • AND OPEN UP TO THE WAYS• you made me feel alive • - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - it was a matter of whether rita had a strange taste when it came to music, which was rather unlikely, or that people simply moved on to other sorts of bands. she had a knack of being different, but that wasn’t necessary a bad thing after all that pushed people away, though it did force her to gain some weird looks that eventually led to funny comments and friendly smiles. was it really weird for someone to have an extreme amount of friendliness when they lived in today's world? apparently it was, but most people would find that far more appealing than the stereotypical bitch sort of person, thankfully enough. growing up in a backstabbing community might not enhance such traits for some people, but rita managed to lived there and stick to the good sides within her. of course, like most people, rita does possess secrets that she might have been ashamed if it ever left her trail of thoughts and was exposed to the others. one of them was that she lost her virginity on one drunken night, even though she wished that would never have happened. first of all, she hardly thinks about relationships nowadays, and second of all, if she did decide to lose her virginity, it would have at least been when she is half sober and with a guy that she actually had one cell of liking towards, not a complete stranger like what happened. she didn't make such an event a traumatic change within her life, but it was needless to say that it did shake a bit of her and affected her in a way or two.
one, she would definitely rethink taking alcohol ever again. two, next time she ends up in such a situation with another stranger, she should morph into a punching machine. other than that, she wasn't quite obsessed about the subject, since she knew that alcohol could dominate people and change them into many things they never thought they ever could be. still, it would have been nice if her first time had occurred when she wasn't drunk and with someone she liked fully. either way, she's quite content with the way everything turned out to be. this tour was perhaps one of the greatest events that had come upon her life, and she couldn't be happier with performing with the amazing group of bandmates she proudly calls her friends. a pleasant voice interrupted her thoughts, and as she looked up, she recognized a boy she had met along her way within this place, which wasn't completely a surprise since many youngsters enjoy music and this is probably the best music store inside the mall. she emitted a smile as she noted that someone else had somewhat the same taste in music that she did, and replied gladly "i know, isn't it such a tragedy?" it was more of a rhetorical question with the ungenuine dramatic way that she stated it. she picked out a cd out of their collection and held it high with the name shown clearly "city of evil," and continued with the obviously fake dramatic tone that she used formerly
"seize the day has got to be one of the most epic songs ever, but people are more into songs like 'girlfriend' by avril lavigne, which i'm not saying is the worst song in the planet or something, but honestly i hope people could realize that avenged sevenfold is far better than avril lavigne's new song that talks about how she has to be someone's girlfriend just cause she feels like it." even though most people might consider that the sort of bitchy bashing, rita stated in a light voice, making it sound as if she's nicely stating the fact that she likes a certain band more than another singer. her gaze turned towards the stacks of cds for a short while, attempting to locate a cd she was looking for, and whilst she did that, she introduced herself "i'm rita by the way, and i think cupcakes are the best thing in this world right after music." she pointed at her shirt childishly then she turned around and faced him, holding one cd in a hand and extending the other for a shake "i'm sorry. i sort of rant whenever it comes to music." a smile emitted upon her face once more as she managed not to state an embarassing statement that could turn her whole face red, which was quite impossible to do to this girl most of the time. even if she tripped and fell in front of a huge crowd, she could regain her composure and continue with whatever she was doing in the first place, and not one single drop of embarassment could shake her whole self.
this time, she managed to scan the boy entirely within her head, taking in the features he possessed and whatever personality he had emitted. honestly enough, he seemed like a really sweet, attractive guy that wouldn't bash her out for no reason at all, unlike most people nowadays. "you don't look illinoi-ish." it was a hidden question beneath that statement, mainly because he didn't seem to look like the other people who had lived within illinois for some reason. rita could basically give the person one look and manage to bring out his or her personality, but whenever it comes to noting people that are considered bad, she would simply ignore their bad habits and focus on the good. rita is one of those optimistic, 'the cup is half-full', trusting people, and looks at life on the happy side rather than the other one, therefore, she managed to bring out at least one simple good trait within almost everyone she met, even if it was an extremely hard task to do. being raised in a formal community, she could also read people as if they were an open book most of the time, unless if she refuses to believe something that they might have emitted, a part of their personality that she doesn't want to believe at all. all in all, this girl would definitely attempt to see the best in everyone, including the boy that was standing in front of her, and basically, it seemed as if they had quite a few things in common. music could really bring about most of the things in everyone, that's why rita chose her life to revolve around it and hardly anything else.

THEY SHINE DOWN TO SHOW US---* you know when the sun forgets to shine Connor nodded appreciateively it truly is, i don't understand what there is about this .. not to like he said bemused and let his shoulders slump up and down into what formed into a slight shrug. Connor listened to the girl rant and thought it rather amusing, not only because she thought strongly on the subject but that she felt the need to explain to him, not that he minded one bit, he was enjoying her company, even though they hadn't really ever talked before.. only crossed paths a time or two. But he was eager to talk to her, eager to listen to what she had to say. he nodded his head in the right places and listened intently until she grew silent, he laughed soflty, you know, i do agree with that, and this upbeat stuff that has synths you just can't get used to, yes.. i totally know what you mean.. and no, it isn't awful it's just that .. it's different for me when im so used to this.. and then i get odd stares when i 'cross the boudaries' to this side of the store.. i hate it! he said with a grin inching up his lips. he couldn't help it, she was so lively on the subject it made him want to speak his opinion as well, and that he sure did, he had never felt this ..at ease with someone he met randomly.
Even though some people would accuse her of being prejudiced and what not, connor actually thought only about her having her own opinion on the subject.. cause thats all it really was an opinion, who gave a damn what other people thought?... well you shouldn't..not really.. you are you're own person! so this is the reason he commented on it himself, not forgetting that there might be people listening in on their conversation, and judging them for having different tastes then themselves, now THAT.. was prejudiced. he sighed, he was getting to worked up over nothing really, the thing was.. it was all in his head, all his thoughts running together into defending himself and her. he smiled warmly at her, he liked her already and he hadn't really discussed anything with her besides music, and they had practically had a debate, she was a lot like him.. the thought was scary..
He nodded, I'm connor and cupcakes... well they are pretty good. he said chuckling a bit at the randomness she shared with him, but all the while amused and thought it was cute. she then turned and offered him her hand for him to shake he gripped it fimrly and shook it once and let go, thats quite all right, i understand what you mean, music is a pretty big thing nowadays.. can't live without it. he stated simply as he would have stated his name.. or something he wasn't afraid to say.. was it bad that he was dependent on music? to make him happy.. comfort him.. whatever he needed it to be really..? well he certainly didn't think so. and if they talked again.. which he figured they might seeing as how well they hit it off now, than he was sure to make an idiot out of himself when he talked about something he cared for passionately, or something that would usually be embarrassing for another person but not to him.. connor was the kind of guy who wore his heart on his sleeve, always nice, always in the mood to talk and pretty happy ninety-nine percent of the time. only when he was angry was when he frowned and wasn't in the mood to talk. he always shared what he was feeling whether the person with him wanted to hear or not, but usually they didn't mind seeing as he was a talkative person and kept company with talkative people, and something gave him the hint that she was rather talkative seeing as she had just carried on a conversation with a random stranger, but hey.. that was all right with him, she seemed rather nice. and he needed someone else like that.. he couldn't be the only person like that around here, it was nice to see someone else like that.
Connor laughed at her next statement, he wasn't really sure what she was implying or if she had meant to ask him a question or even inslut him but regardless he would answer, cause im not, maybe? he replied teasing her just a little bit, his personality shining right through his niceness, I grew up in new jersey if that's what you're getting at... he said.. honestly not sure what she was really getting at, had she wanted to know where he came from.. where he was born.. where she got illinois he would never know, but truthfully he didn't care, it's why he went ahead and told her that he grew up in New jersey, it wasn't that big of a deal, he decided. he smiled back at her placing his CD's in his other hands and switching feet to stand on making himself comfortable, he might be here a while, and the fact didn't make him antsy a bit. he was enjoying himself.
