contrasting the snow
for the agony, i'd rather know
CAUSE BLINDED; I AM BLINDSIDED[/font][/center]
Big news! Preston Harris has a conscience! Believe it- It was a surprise to him as well. And how annoying that nonstop, unrelenting voice is. It just nags and nags away. All because Preston spiked some guy's drink at the bar the other night for fun. He wasn't laughing and while Preston was then, he wasn't anymore. It was secretly pinching him underneath his very skin. Who knew what was supposed to be funny would bring this obnoxious distress of conscience in his own head. Logically, it was surely a load of bs to feel bad about it but he was. It's like urkel, meets slim shady, meets his mother, it's all rolled up into one hybrid feverish voice with a halo over it's head which makes it too holy to swear away. But he could try. He was heard by some people at Burger King cussing out his own mother on his cell phone. Or that's what people were starting to say. How awful right? Whatever, he wasn't really cussing at her so much as he new boyfriend hitting him up for money to 'borrow' for THEIR rent. Key work, 'their'. It was so typical and getting old, but it always stirred Preston's inside enough to want to punch someone out. He tried to convince his mother that her new boyfriend was using him but he lost it. Lost his cool, lost the battle, and now handing them rent money that he knew he'd never get back. Hah! The guy even said he'd pay him back with interest. Yeah that's funny stuff. But what had she expected? Not call for a while, then unexpectedly call him for cash for her and her new current fling of a boyfriend. She knew Preston didn't like having conversations like that on the phone too.[/blockquote][/blockquote][/blockquote]
So guilt brought him to church to reconcile himself with God in forgiveness for his sins. It was the only way to fix this. But it disheartened him that this was for his own selfish desires to rid the discomfort of guilt then to worship. He asked for forgiveness for that and voluntarily prayed the rosary after praying his penance too. Wiping his slate clean, he stepped outside the church and strolled along the streets. The Shane situation was very over that he's practically forgotten it now. His mother would leave him alone for another half of a year. But what about Lucy? What was going on with her? She was so distant and everytime he tried to get her to spill whatever was bothering her, she had an excuse to escape him. Girls were so confusing, what was the point of that? God was easier to understand! Anyway, before going their seperate ways this morning at the tour bus, she said she was going to the bookstore before lunch. She amply left after that. He could catch her the store, take her out to lunch. She couldn't possibly have an excuse now. Inside, the store was cool and quiet, a startling contrast from outside. He began skimming through the aisle, taking a brief break to check out the poetry books and plays then finally found his red haired love in some random row. He didn't bother with taking notice of what section of genres this was. "I found you!" he said, smiling happily then kissed her lightly on the cheek. "Thought I might've missed you. What're looking at?"TAGGED?! LUCY!!
